  1. Reference your boil in bag rice. Try removing it from the bag, add veggies and maybe some of your chicken or spam to make a casserole. Add water as you would for making regular rice (2:1). If using dried veggies you need to play with the amount of water.. Don't forget the spices or try a bullion cube in the water. Takes about the same 10 mins as boil in bag rice but is a lot better. I like to use brown rice myself…

  2. Thank you for sharing this! I'm in the process of brainstorming a long trip around america on my motorcycle with limited resources, so this is helpful for the launch. Nice sub count, we're about the same! 1k here we come!

  3. Like the Idea, pre banged however, you seem to have lots of carbs not much Protein? As ex serviceman I suggest you look up at some of the forces rations, to add protein, & a right balance of Calories for you.
Im now a diabetic so have to watch my in take. Re pot noodles I used to just empty the pot noodle in a zipp sealed bag then, pop in pot of boiling water.

  4. Systems a little OCD not to make fun, it's easy to try and plan but things always change while on the road. What happens when you don't finish a bag's items? Then you just start throwing it all together and seeing what you have.

  5. I like this setup.
    2 questions.
    – Do you take the whole "tea/coffee" bag, or do you limit it for the days you are going?
    – Are you not worried about food going past expiry date? Or is it just me not going on enough trips in a year :)

  6. well thats one advantage of being a petite female camper-you need very little food. I would finish one whole bag per meal. I do love your system. I will adopt it. Just increase the portions.

  7. Outstanding. The Mrs. & I are planning to start doing long rides & camping soon (as soon as adult children leave, again). I love to be prepared and your "meal packs for the day" are ingenious. Thanks! PS: small, new, bait boxes also work well for spices of you want several choices and seal up nicely.

  8. good ideas , I do this for my clothes, a full outfit in a bag, that way if I get wet it's just 1 bag into a toilet change and wet gear in same bag and am new again lol, well it helps me feel like keeping going.

  9. +Mizzuz Moto , I am impressed by the way you have it organized. I will have to remember this for next year, when I think, hopefully me, and +Qbal were thinking about a trip to Alaska next year.

  10. Nice presentation. I need to get better organized on meals for sure. Definitely much better than shopping for groceries in little mom and pop grocery stores in the middle of nowhere. . Several years ago I started making my own beef jerky to take on longer trips..packs a lot of energy and takes up very little space. A real pick me up for riding in the rain and cold.
